The program consists of 90% traditional camping activities such as horseback riding, archery, canoeing, hiking, nature study, swimming, crafts, sports and games. CASA of Tarrant County

CASA of Tarrant County

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates and our CASA volunteers serve abused and neglected children in an overburdened child welfare system. Each year, thousands of children in Tarrant County are confirmed victims of child abuse and neglect. These children have experienced terrible trauma, and their lives are turned upside down. Child Protective Services takes legal responsibility for them, and may place them in a foster home or other facility. Due to too few foster homes, siblings are often split up into different places. Children are rarely able to stay in their own schools, day cares, or communities. Everything they have known is gone. Through no fault of their own, these abused children have become a part of an overburdened child welfare system. They deserve a voice in the courtroom. They need a CASA volunteer!

CASA of Tarrant County has over 400 active volunteers who come from all walks of life. They span all age ranges. Some are just beginning in the workforce, and others are retired. Over half our volunteers work full-time and have families. Some have backgrounds in the criminal justice system, social work, or child welfare. Other volunteers have no such experience at all. CASA volunteers speak up for abused and neglected children, advocating for their needs during the worst time of their lives.

The Roadmap for Children's Mental Health is a series designed to provide valuable guidance and support for parents and caregivers navigating the complex world of children's mental health and well-being. This series emphasizes the importance of taking care of your child's mental well-being, just as you would their physical health.

By focusing on these areas, the series aims to equip families with the knowledge and tools needed to foster resilience, promote positive mental health, and ensure that children grow up feeling safe, understood, and supported. Remember, taking proactive steps and seeking professional help when needed can make a big difference in a child's overall well-being.

EmpathyHQ

EmpathyHQ originated in 2013 under the legal name Alliance Child & Family Solutions with a mission to provide affordable and accessible life-changing mental health services for all Texans. In 2019, recognizing the need to better align with core values and mission, the agency legally transitioned to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to further its mission and focus on underserved areas, vulnerable populations, and communities impacted by trauma. Since that transition, the agency has served over 12,000 unique individuals with over 100,000 hours of evidence-based, direct mental health care and case management services. EmpathyHQ provides mental health counseling focused on prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction, offering several different therapy modalities such as telehealth, in-person, family, group, play, and individual therapy to accommodate various needs. By 2023, the agency completed its rebranding as EmpathyHQ to be more inclusive of all ages and populations served and reflect its commitment to empathic mental health support.

Logos Counseling/Logos IOP

Logos Counseling/Logos IOP

At Logos Counseling, we are experienced in helping a wide range of clients- from older children (4 & up) to adults in any stage of life. Our approach to mental health counseling focuses on helping you let you go of past emotional baggage that is preventing you from moving forward and achieving your goals.
Logos IOP, LLC was founded by Logos Counseling Services, which has been offering mental health counseling to individuals, couples & families of all ages since 1998. Our goal has always been to provide excellent care for our clients & communities.
After twenty-five years of working with teens, we noticed an unintentional gap in the Mental Health Community. Traditional IOP鈥檚 focus on substance abuse, but many teens struggle with other mental health issues not associated with substance abuse.
After several years of researching and writing curriculum, we have put together a program that helps both teens and their families using a mixture of traditional therapeutic techniques as well as alternative treatment methods.
Our goal is to provide accessible, exceptional mental health services for teens who need a higher level of care than weekly individual sessions. We are excited to help you achieve your mental health goals!

Mind Above Matter

Mental Health Assessments: Our clinicians conduct a comprehensive initial
assessment to understand our clients at a deeper level and direct them to services that
most appropriately suit their needs.

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP): This extra mental health support offers a minimally restrictive environment that encompasses group, individual, family therapy and
medication management. Programming involves group therapy 5 hours/day, 5 days
per week, and can serve as a midground option for clients stepping down from
inpatient care.

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP): A step-down level of care for clients to transition
back to work or school, this program provides structure and support while clients
practice enhanced coping skills. It includes 3 hours per day/5 days per week.

In addition, it includes individual therapy and family/couples therapy, as needed.
When in IOP, clients see the psychiatrist a minimum of once per week.

Medication Management: Clients are evaluated and monitored by a psychiatrist for
medications, adverse reactions, and side effects to reduce their current mental health
symptoms. This service is available as a maintenance option or in conjunction with
outpatient therapy appointments.

Teen Life

Teen Life

Teen Life is on a mission to connect every teenager with trusted adults and resources because no teen deserves to feel alone. We do this my training and equipping volunteers from the community to facilitate on-campus support groups in middle and high schools throughout DFW. Support groups take place during the school day and are best when serving 8-10 students in a closed-group format. Facilitators collaborate and communicate with the "school partner" (school counselor, social worker, etc). to ensure the group runs effectively for its 9 week (1 meeting per week) duration. Teen Life groups are a preventative, mental health support and our curriculum focuses on solution-focused, strengths based interventions that can benefit students from any background.
