The Advanced Placement (AP) Program, sponsored by the College Board, gives students the opportunity to participate in college-level work in high school and earn college credit.听 All traditional secondary (7th-12th) AISD campuses offer AP courses in language arts, math, science, social studies, computer science, foreign languages, and art. Each course presents an academic challenge for students while building the skills needed to succeed in college. AP courses are available through open enrollment to all students wishing to take on the challenge of advanced coursework.听

Opportunity Scholarships
This College Board program guides students through the process of applying to colleges. There are six steps in their process:听
- Build your college list
- Practice for the SAT
- Improve your SAT score
- Strengthen your college list
- Apply for FAFSA
- Apply to colleges
As students complete each step, they are eligible for scholarships ranging from $500 to $40,000!听
