What is聽 Title I?
91制片厂 Title I programs are designed to accomplish these primary goals:
- Focus educators on the academic needs of specific student populations
- Ensure the access of students to effective, scientifically based instructional strategies and challenging academic聽content to close the academic gap of all students
- Prepare all students for college and career readiness
Title I Schoolwide programs have a significant student population that are economically disadvantaged (students who qualify for free or reduced meals). 91制片厂 currently has聽47 schools that are served as Title I Schoolwide Campuses. The campuses focus on strategies that will directly affect student instruction聽such as:
- Interventions
- Instructional programs
- Supplemental teachers
- Professional development for teachers
- Family engagement聽activities
All strategies supported with Title I funds are be determined by the campus's Site-Based Decision Making Committee. Needs are prioritized in the campus Comprehensive Needs Assessment and strategies are developed and included in the Campus Improvement Plan.
Students benefiting from Title I strategies include:
- Migrant students
- Students with limited English proficiency
- Homeless students
- Students with disabilities
- At-risk students
- Any student in academic need
As required by Title I, Part A law, AISD provides equitable Title I services to eligible students attending private nonprofit schools, their teachers, and their families. Equitable Services to Private/NonProfit Schools (PNP)
