Info meetings for 11 schools

The deadline for applying for one of the 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™s specialized programs is next Wednesday, Jan. 17.

If you’re still trying to figure out if a specialized program is right for your child, we’ve got meetings scheduled that can help.

Four of our elementary specialized programs have in-person parent information meetings set this week. These meetings are for parents who have students entering kindergarten in the 2024-25 school year.

Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language is hosting a meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the school. Jones Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language is hosting one on Thursday at 6 p.m. Both schools have the same offerings. Students are zoned for the fine arts and dual language academy based on their address. Students north of Pioneer Parkway attend Jones and students south attend Corey.

Is leadership more your child’s passion? Crow Leadership Academy is hosting a parent meeting on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Does your child want to learn Spanish or French and excel in a global setting? Wimbish World Language Academy has a meeting set for Wednesday at 6 p.m.

If your student is interested in our high school specialized programs, there are several meetings this week, too.

Arlington College and Career High School and Arlington Collegiate High School will be hosting a dual meeting on Zoom Tuesday night at 6:30.

The P-TECH program at Lamar High School – which has an emphasis on business and cybersecurity – is hosting a Zoom meeting on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The P-TECH at Bowie High School – which focuses on health services – has a Zoom slated for Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The 91ÖÆƬ³§ STEM Academy at Martin High School is hosting a parent meeting on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. If you attended the meeting in October, it is the same information so there’s no need to attend this one.

The P-TECH at Sam Houston High School, which has a focus on logistics and mechatronics, has a parent meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Attendees will be able to tour the P-TECH area and meet with staff and teachers.

If your eighth grader is interested in engineering, the P-TECH at Seguin High School has a parent meeting slated for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the school.
