Crow parent info meeting is Thursday, Jan. 11
Is your child a natural leader? Do they put service first?
Crow Leadership Academy may be the right school for them.
Crow, the first elementary school in the district to be designated an聽, is looking for students to start in kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year.
Crow Leadership Academy gives students the opportunity to develop into compassionate, thoughtful and innovative leaders.
The school was one of the first elementaries in the Metroplex to earn the IB designation as students at the school develop communication and critical-thinking skills. Students at Crow learn by doing and are encouraged to make a positive impact in their community through volunteer work and community service projects.
Students at Crow don鈥檛 just learn in the classroom. They take the concepts they learn in the class and see how they apply in the real world.
鈥淲e have a unique approach at Crow Leadership Academy,鈥 principal Liznel Gonzalez-Morales said. 鈥淢ore than just learning facts, we strive for our students to think critically about the world around them. We want our students to discover their passions and grow their leadership skills to make positive contributions in their community and take action to make our world a better place.鈥
Students are at the center of everything involved in the learning at Crow. They lead. They collaborate. They do all that in a traditional school setting as they still take fine arts classes and physical education classes just like students at other elementary schools.
Crow students can also take a Spanish elective in fifth and sixth grade in a school that has a new gymnasium, STEM labs, strings room and renovated cafeteria.
