Improve the AISD’s existing high school buildings with a wide range of lifecycle and condition renovations. Examples include mechanical, electrical and plumbing renovations, interior renovations, accessibility improvements, restroom renovations, site improvements, paving improvements and more. Improvements to athletics and fine arts facilities include replacing field turf, resurfacing tracks, upgrades to gymnasiums and tennis courts, auditorium finishes and fine arts rehearsal spaces.

Bring all school introductory career tech spaces up to the same high standard. This would include renovations to Arlington, Bowie, Lamar and Seguin high schools to create welding, construction or culinary labs as needed.

Create capacity for high-demand career and tech programs with a classroom addition to the AISD Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center.

Renovate current softball practice fields at all high schools to competition standards. Renovations would include seating, restrooms and concession stands. Currently, high school softball teams play their games at the AISD Softball Complex.

Bond 2019 Athletics Fact Sheet

Three competition fields are needed for our six high schools. The AISD owns Wilemon Field and Cravens Field and rents UTA Maverick Stadium. Access to UTA Maverick Stadium is going away, so the district needs a replacement competition venue. Renovate Martin High School's existing practice field to be the third varsity competition field.

Provide continuity of program access for fine arts/dual language students, now currently in elementary school, by building an addition at Arlington High School to house a new fine arts/dual language high school.
