General Education Development Certificate
The General Education Development (GED) Certificate is not the same as a high school diploma. It is not meant to be a terminal point in your academic career. Instead, it is meant to be a stepping-stone to further academic or skill training. Before attempting to get your G.E.D., you should have a plan for what you intend to do after achieving your certificate.

Will branches of the military service accept recruits with a GED?
Normally the military services will only accept persons with a high school diploma. However, occasionally they will accept persons with a GED on a case by case basis. You would need to contact the military recruiting officers directly regarding this issue.
How long would it take for me to receive the results of my test?
Students will take the GED tests at an official testing center. Upon finishing each test, the student will be able to view his/her test score.
