Campus Role: Teacher
Campus Team: Law and Public Safety
I graduated for Tarrant County Junior College in 1994 with my Associates of Arts in Humanities. In 1996, I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a specialization in Corrections from the University of North Texas. Over the past 26 years, I worked as both a Correctional Officer and Parole Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a Police Officer for the City of Arlington, an Academy Instructor for Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, and as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Cleburne. I retired from Law Enforcement in 2019 and now focus on educating the next generation of public servants. This will be my 12th year in public education and my 8th year with AISD. My favorite part of teaching is the life-long relationships I build with my students. I will be teaching Principles of Law, Law Enforcement I, Correctional Services, and the General Law Practicum this year. I also serve as a Cadre for the CTE department, National Technical Honor Society advisor, an advisor for Texas Public Safety Association (TPSA), and as the Region 2 Representative for TPSA.
