After retiring from a career with the U.S. Courts, I started substituting in the office at AISD to keep busy. 2023/24 will begin my eighth year as a full-time employee in AISD. Originally hired as Guidance Tech at Gunn Jr. High, I transferred to the Career and Tech Center in 2021. My work focuses on certification testing and CCMR tracking. I thoroughly enjoy facilitating testing with the students. It brings me great joy to see the smiles on their faces when they realize they passed their certification exam! All their hard work, study, focus and determination has been realized, and now they have achieved an income avenue for their future.
Our students at CTC/ASC are uniquely focused on creating a positive future for themselves in business and industry. Here, they receive knowledge and skills to embark on careers that can positively change the course of their lives. I’m honored to serve as a small part of their success.
